Separate upgrades are happening around Mawson Place. Independent Murrumbidgee MLA Fiona Carrick said residents want the investment.
But residents don't understand which consultation matters for what. She said there is almost no detail offered.
The government has not given a single coordinated plan for how the three projects fit together. Key questions remain unanswered.
Why must the Southlands Tennis Club relocate? Who will pay for replacement facilities?
What scale of residential development is planned?
- 365 days per year
- Tennis Club court usage
- 10 years
- Club lease remaining
- Fiona Carrick, Independent Murrumbidgee
- MLA raising concerns
Why it mattersResidents can't give meaningful feedback without knowing what decisions are being made or how projects fit together. This makes consultation pointless.
AustraliaCanberrans in the inner south can't work out whether the Mawson upgrades will improve their area or what tradeoffs they'll face without clearer information from the ACT Government.
