Manhattan Gold strikes high-grade ore in Canadian first drill
Manhattan Gold struck high-grade copper, gold, silver and zinc ore in its first drill at the Spectre prospect in Nunavut.
Manhattan Gold Corporation has struck high-grade polymetallic ore at the Spectre prospect in Nunavut, Canada on its very first drilling program. The first hole delivered 6.1 metres at 3.18 per cent copper, 1.37 grams per tonne gold, 147.9 grams per tonne silver and 1.35 per cent zinc from 45.72 metres depth.
The same hole also hit a spectacular high-grade zinc zone: 3.05 metres at 29.5 per cent zinc from just 12.19 metres. A second drill hole 77 metres along strike repeated strong results, and a third extended the mineralized footprint a further 341 metres northeast.
The three holes have defined mineralization over a 340-metre strike length. The discovery appears to confirm a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system, metal-rich mineral concentrations that often occur in clusters and typically contain copper, zinc, lead, gold and silver.
Manhattan also has strong gold results from its nearby Jaws target.

Why it mattersHigh-grade polymetallic discoveries of this scale can support commercial mine development and significantly increase a project's value.
AustraliaManhattan Gold is ASX-listed; successful ore discoveries can lift the company's share price and benefit Australian investors.
