Methodist Ladies' College teacher charged with sexual assault
Kam Kenny-Jones, a Methodist Ladies' College teacher, has been charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child under 17.
A 32-year-old teacher at the elite Kew school has been charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child under 17. Kam Kenny-Jones taught years 7 to 12 students and was arrested on Friday following a search of his Thornbury home.
The alleged assault occurred in July at Mont Albert. The school stood him down in September when concerns emerged and terminated his employment before police charged him.
He was granted bail and will appear at Ringwood Magistrates Court in December. The principal said the school is offering support to students and staff.
