Wilkie wins second St Kilda best and fairest award in tight count
Callum Wilkie, 30, polled 255 votes to win his second Trevor Barker Award, ahead of recruit Jack Silvagni by just five votes.
Callum Wilkie enhanced his status as one of St Kilda's best modern defenders by winning his second Trevor Barker Award at the club's best and fairest. The 30-year-old became just the 15th player in club history to win the award twice.
Wilkie did so in his first season as co-captain. Wilkie also became a two-time All-Australian and won the inaugural AFL Coaches Association Defensive Player of the Year.
Recruit Jack Silvagni finished second with 250 votes after moving from Carlton as a free agent last year and producing the best season of his career. Emerging star Max Hall came third with 241 votes.
