Australian families carry September 11 loss 25 years later
Paul Gyulavary's twin brother Peter died in the South Tower; his body was found ten weeks later.
On the night the Twin Towers fell, Paul and Yvonne Gyulavary watched the attacks unfold from their home outside Melbourne. Halfway around the world, Paul's twin brother Peter was in his office in the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
In the weeks after the attacks, Paul called New York repeatedly with no answer. Three days later, the Gyulavarys learned Peter had been in the South Tower and was missing.
He was an architect who had moved to New York in the mid-1980s and was restoring a Victorian-style home upstate. Ten weeks after the attacks, on the eve of Thanksgiving, Peter's body was found.
