Netball recruit Emily Forrest takes coaching role after one season
Emily Forrest, 31, was appointed playing-coach of Kolora-Noorat after just ten games with the club.
The Yambuk-based nurse joined Kolora-Noorat in round six of the 2026 season and played ten games, including an elimination final. Emily Forrest's teammates pushed her to take the playing-coach role for 2027.
Forrest played over 150 games with Port Fairy and won a premiership in 2016. Forrest said the team's backing made her accept the job.
She takes over from Fiona and Lillie Bourke. Forrest is eyeing improvement after the Power's narrow elimination final loss, hoping to push further next season.
