Typhoon Saudel kills three in China mudslide, nine still missing

Heavy rain from Typhoon Saudel triggered a mudslide in southern China. It killed three people and left nine missing in a village.

On Saturday, a mudslide in Suichuan County, Jiangxi province destroyed a dozen houses. Days of heavy rain from Typhoon Saudel caused it.

Three people died and nine remain missing. Rescuers found two bodies on Sunday among collapsed homes.

More than 5,300 people were evacuated to safety. The typhoon also brought landslides and flooding to multiple provinces.
