Football administrator Buchhorn honoured with NWFL life membership
Andrew Buchhorn received life membership from the North West Football League. He served on its executive board from 2007 to 2024.
On September 6, Buchhorn was surprised with the honour at the Darrel Baldock Medal ceremony. He worked as treasurer and vice-president from 2007 to 2024.
A decade earlier, he was inducted into the league's hall of fame. He also served as president and treasurer at East Devonport Football Club.
When he moved to Tasmania, he never expected to stay involved with football so long. 'Not in my wildest dreams,' he said.
His wife Kylie and daughters Romi and Wrenn attended the event.
