Billabong Crows football club needs 20 recruits to survive 2027
The Billabong Crows need roughly 20 new players to field a competitive team and stay viable in the Hume league.
The Billabong Crows, a small Australian football club, hope to sign about 10 to 15 players by their October AGM to survive into 2027. Club president Michael Cunningham said their September community meeting gave them hope, with more than 90 people attending.
The club has already doubled its volunteers and is looking for trainers, umpires and players. Two travelling players won't return next season due to relocation, but the rest of the senior squad has committed to staying.
The club's main problem is location. Their remote NSW position makes it hard to attract players from bigger towns nearby.
