Warrnambool disability provider ends two services, leaving 600+ participants
Southern Stay will stop plan management and support coordination services by December 2. This affects 600 and 200 users.
The Warrnambool provider said it was closing these services. The provider cited ongoing uncertainty about NDIS reform.
The provider also cited not enough pricing. About 11 staff will be affected.
Redundancies will be offered to those not redeployed to other roles. Southern Stay said both services had not received enough price increases for several years.
Rising costs to deliver the services kept going up. The federal government has signalled major NDIS reforms starting in 2027 and 2028.
The provider will continue its other main disability support services. It will have 300 staff remaining.
